Hello! It’s Kristina Brinkerhoff from Center Street Quilts and I’m excited to be here today sharing a quilt I made with the new Christmas Joys line by Lindsay Wilkes of The Cottage Mama. Christmas Joys has the cutest vintage holiday figures mixed in with some great seasonal basics like candy canes, holly sprigs, and the sweetest plaids!
The Christmas Joys fabric line also includes a darling panel that I couldn’t resist using as the focal point for my own throw quilt. I added in some coordinating prints for a few simple borders along with a patchwork border to highlight some of the cute Christmas Joys characters (my favorite is the cat and dog enjoying a sleigh ride together!).
For the backing, I used Confetti Cottons Boy Blue with a strip of the Christmas Joys Main Red print as an accent. The binding is Riley Blake Basics ¼” Red and White Stripe—perfect as a candy cane stripe around the outside—and the quilt was quilted using a long arm machine and the digital pantograph Midnight Sparkle.
With all the cute little characters in this quilt, I just know it will be a favorite to snuggle with come December!
