Every spring and autumn the fields close to my house fill with hundreds and hundreds of migrating swans that
use the fields as a resting place. Seeing them leave for a warmer climate in the autumn is always bittersweet.
But as they return again months later in the spring, you know that the long and harsh Nordic winter is over.
Summer is coming.
The lakes that were covered with ice will once again fill with life. With this collection I wanted to celebrate just that the hope that the swans and their little ones bring of summer, warmth, flowers and life after a seemingly endless winter.

Sandra lives with her husband and toddler daughter in Finland, on the countryside close by the sea. Nature is a big inspiration for her, as are beautiful color combinations and simplistic and playful Scandinavian design.
Sandra has always been creative and crafty, and when she discovered surface pattern design as a career option, she decided it was time to make dreams a reality and make a career switch from translator to creative entrepreneur. Her brand name Little Forest Atelier stems from a time when she was still living in a big city and dreaming of her own creative atelier close to nature, something that has now become reality.
