Colour Wall – Flutterfly Quilt

Hello! I’m Laura from Slice of Pi Quilts, and I’m so excited to share the Flutterfly quilt with you!

The quilt uses the new Colour Wall collection by Sue Daley Designs. The bright colors were so fun to sew with, and they were great for using in the Flutterfly quilt!

As a homeschooling mom of three boys, butterflies seem to find their way into our science projects every spring. For the past several years, we order caterpillars (who knew you could just order caterpillars?!) and get an up-close view of them as they grow, make a chrysalis, and become a butterfly. The process amazes me every time. I’m thrilled to have a quilt to be a reminder of that transformation – of that hope – that butterflies represent.

The Flutterfly quilt is now available in the Slice of Pi Quilts pattern shop. The fat quarter friendly pattern includes directions for both traditional cutting and AccuQuilt cutting! It makes a 68″ x 64″ throw quilt, and it’s beginner friendly!

Do butterflies have a special meaning to you? Let me know over on the Slice of Pi Quilts blog! You can find me on Facebook and Instagram, and in the Quilting & Sewing Deals group too!
