Sewing with our Confetti Cottons solid fabric is one of our favorite things to do. The wide array of colors translate into endless options for quilts and projects.
BROADCLOTH STUDIO is offering some fun FREE quilt patterns, and we just had to play with the Shutter Shades pattern! The simple, straight, modern lines allow the solid colors to shine.
We used our Bleached Denim, Crayola Dandelion, Apricot Blush, and Nutmeg for the main design. We used Cloud for the background, which is the most perfect soft white you’ve ever seen.. For the binding, we used our Hunter green.
It was difficult to select just four colors. What should we choose next time around? Maybe add some purples, or greens? So many options!
We used a gray thread to quilt some simple straight lines through the center of the fabric strips, which adds another hint of color and accentuates the linear feel of the quilt.
