I used Diane Immer from Craft Owl Handmade pattern to make the oven mitts. Her pattern is easy to follow and fun to make. You can make a bunch in an hour.

One of my mittens uses two different prints to make the mitten a bit more interesting. You can make the mittens any way you like. Explore with all of the prints and see what looks great to you. All of the prints go well together, so have fun.

The square potholders are simple to make.

Supplies:

two square pieces of the daybreak fabric, any size of your choice

one 2.5 ” x 4″ piece of the daybreak fabric

one piece of insulting batting the same size as the square pieces.

Instructions:

  1. Create a sandwich, one piece of the daybreak fabric right-side up, then the insulting batting on top of that, and finally the last piece of daybreak fabric right-side down.

2. Iron the 2.5″ x 4″ in half on the long side, then open and iron each side to the middle line.

3. Stitch both sides down, fold in half and place it in one of the corners.

4. Pin the sandwich in place.

5. Leave a 3-inch hole for turning.

6. Trim the corners and turn.

7. Push the corners out and stitch an eighth of an inch all the way around.

8. Quilt the potholders any way you like.

Super quick and fun.

I hope you enjoy these kitchen delights.

What will you create using the Daybreak fabric? I can’t wait to hear.
