Delightful – Disappearing Four Patch Weave Quilt

We have an awesome quilt to share with you today! This quilt is called the Disappearing Four Patch Weave Quilt — a FREE tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Co.!

You can find the FREE video tutorial for this quilt HERE. All it takes is one 10″ stacker for the colorful prints, and one 10″ stacker of the background fabric. If you add a border, like I did, you’ll need a bit of fabric for that, as well as your quilt back and binding.

For my quilt, I used the brand new Delightful collection by Gerri Robinson. The blue and gold palette is both cheerful and calming, and I just love all of the timeless florals in this line! For the background fabric, I used our White Tone on Tone Stitched Circle fabric — a Riley Blake Basic.

The overall design of this quilt creates a big of an optical illusion. It appears as if you created hundreds of tiny half square triangles and flying geese, when in reality, these blocks are made with a four patch block that is sliced up, switched around, and sewn back together.

I added a 4″ border using the Gold Main floral print. It adds a fun pop of color, and frames the quilt beautifully. For a more subtle look, a blue border would be gorgeous.

I used the Main Blue floral print for the quilt back. The stunning floral would be a showstopper on the front or back of any quilt.

I used the Blue Vines for the quilt binding. The medium blue adds the perfect frame for this gorgeous quilt!

It’s always fun to discover new ways to use a precut 10″ stacker, and this Disappearing Four Patch Weave is so much fun and the result is totally mind-blowing!
