We have another fun Destinations Panel Quilt to share with you today – this one featuring the London Panel!
The London panel is seriously awesome, with its vintage feel, the Big Ben Clock Tower, and the iconic red double decker bus.
The panel measures 36″ x WOF. This would be fun to hang as-is on a college dorm or apartment wall, or whip it up into a quilt like we did.
We added two simple strip borders using fabrics from the Destinations fabric line. For the inner border, we used the Charcoal Map, and for the outer border we used the fun Red World text print. We repeated the Charcoal Map print in the binding to give it a nice framed look.
The map print comes in charcoal, red, gray, green, cream, and blue. The World Destinations print comes in red, cream, and black.
We love how these colors play together!
We quilted this using a simple mod squares design which ties in nicely with the vintage-mod feel of the fabric panel.
For the quilt back, we used the Charcoal Map print again. Yes, we LOVE this print!
