The light and raspberry pink fabrics in Enchanted Meadow immediately spoke Valentine’s Day to me. I couldn’t resist making a table topper using my new Framed Heart Mini Quilt pattern and featuring as many of the pink prints in the line as I could. My name is Amy Chappell and I delight in designing small and quick projects that feature gorgeous fabrics and can be done in a weekend (maybe two). I blog over at Ameroonie Designs and I am so excited to share the project I made for the Enchanted Meadow project tour!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I have started creating a series of 12″ mini quilts made to fit onto Buttermilk Basin’s Double Clip metal stand. Framed Hearts is my newest pattern, and along with the mini quilt, I try to include an alternate use for the block in each pattern. This table topper/ baby quilt version is the extra project for this pattern and I am so excited about it! Alternating the framed heart block with a nine patch block created a chain effect that plays on the chain in the mushroom print in this line. I love that print so much, I used it for both the hearts (in light pink) and the corner stones of the sashing (in raspberry).
Enchanted Meadow has so many gorgeous prints- there are so many great blenders, and the characters in the animal print are some of my favorites!
The table topper finishes off at 32″ square. To adjust the pattern to a baby blanket- just add a border to the table topper to make it a bit bigger. Mix up the blues and greens for a gender neutral option sure to delight! I backed my project with the main aqua floral and I thinks it adds so much fun.
I think you will love sewing with Enchanted Meadow fabric. And I hope you will follow along with me on Instagram or sign up for my newsletter where I share lots of great projects for free! Happy Sewing, Friends! Amy
