We have a fabulous FREE Pattern to share with you today! This Family Forever Temple Panel Quilt features the Salt Lake City Temple – one of the beautiful temple panels from Amanda Herring’s Temples collection.
The majestic Salt Lake City Temple is an icon of the restored LDS church and the hope of strong, loving families is integral to the faith. This quilt seems to capture all of this in this simple, fresh design.
The quilt has four borders. The pattern walks you through the assembly of the third border, which incorporates the lettering. It might look tricky, but follow the step-by-step instructions, and you’ll be set. The other three borders are simple strips. Easy!
We opted for a simple geometric-diamond design for the quilting. The quilting always adds such a nice textural component to the quilt.
It’s always to see how different the quilt top looks once it has been quilted, don’t you think?
For the quilt back, we used Lori Holt Shabby Basics in Denim. We love the additional texture the Shabby adds to the back of the quilt.

Amanda Herring’s Temples collection features three temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints — the Provo City Center Temple, the Salt Lake City Temple, and the Logan Temple. There are also four coordinating text prints in green, gray, navy, and multi.
