It’s Week 2 of Patchwork & Poodles’ Harvest Star Quilt Along! We are so excited for this quilt along, which features the Modern Farmhouse fabric collection designed by Simple Simon & Co.
Isn’t this fabric combination amazing?! This week, we are really getting started — making the first two blocks of this amazing quilt.
There are two versions of this quilt. One version uses cut yardage, while the other option is to use a fat quarter bundle. Eliane is making her quilt with cut yardage. Today, she is sharing her first two blocks. So sweet!
I am using fat quarters to make my quilt. Here is my first block. Can you see my mistake? Hint: look at the right side of the block. I didn’t catch it until after the quilt was finished and back from the quilter. Nooooo! Well, there is nothing to do but accept it. It adds character, right?
Here is my second block. This time, no mistakes! I LOVE the soft coral and mint against the black gingham! Such a stunning contrast.
