How to Quilt Series: Flying Geese Quilting Blocks by Deonn (4 of 9)

Deonn shows Cindy different ways to make basic quilting blocks using flying geese.
Measurement Help:
(These measurements are used to make a 9″ finished block… If you want to make a block that is a different size you will need to recalculate all units.
For help on this please click here)

To make one flying geese unit for this block…start with a rectangle 2 3/4″ x 5″ and 2 small squares that are 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″

To make flying geese using the “no waste method”….start with a large square that is 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ and then the 4 small squares which are 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ and this will create 4 at the same time.

The folded flying geese unit is made by using a rectangle that is 2 3/4″ x 5″ and 2 small squares that are 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4” and you sandwich them together…
