It has been so much fun following along with the Kindred Spirits BLOG TOUR seeing the different projects featuring this charming fabric collection so artistically illustrated by Jill Howarth. Today, we’re showing off this sweet quilt which is available both as a FREE Pattern and as a Quilt Kit.
The Kindred Spirits fabric line features a beautiful panel which highlights best friends, Anne Shirley and Diana Barry, bordered by retro Dark Pink Ticking stripes and patchwork squares.
Looking closely at the patchwork border, it’s hard to tell this is a fabric panel, which makes this a fun, fast, and super easy quilt to put together in a hurry.
Each of the Sawtooth Stars features a cute little “faux fussy cut” image in the center. LOVE this one with Matthew and Marilla!
To complete this quilt, all that is left is to add an additional striped border and a wider border, this one in the Main Aqua print.
The quilt is backed with more of the Aqua Main and bound with the Dark Pink Ticking, which pulls everything together perfectly!
Kindred Spirits designer, Jill Howarth, did a fabulous job curating a color palette that is both cheerful, yet maintains a timeless vintage aesthetic, in keeping with this classic piece of literature.
