This month, I chose to do a fun pattern with Sparkler by Melissa Mortenson. Jenna Leudecke Designs has a Ninja Stars quilt pattern that was exactly what I was looking for! I used the green palette of fabric colors, because green is my favorite color.

I used Clover Sparkle, Green Sparkle, Celery Sparkle, and Alpine Sparkle for my ninja stars, and Bleach Denim Sparkle for the quilt background. For the backing, I chose Alpine from Confetti Cottons Basics to complete my quilt.

The green fabric complemented each other and really brought the quilt together beautifully.

This quilt has quite a bit of negative space, so I wanted to use a lighter color to contrast with my ninja stars. I used Bleach Denim Sparkle to create that contrast I was looking for.

The quilt size is roughly 63″x91″ so it’s very long – a great project for those tall people in your family. 🙂 It’s also a great quilt for just snuggling up on the couch with.

It’s always fun for me to work with Riley Blake Designs Sparkler Basics fabric by Melissa Mortenson. They are gorgeous and colorful and will give a refreshing look to your quilt designs. And to work with another quilt maker and friend – Jenna Luedecke. Make sure you check out her designs as well!
