Pride and Prejudice – Circle Hexagon Purse and a Patchwork Pouch Tutorial

Hi! Charise here from Charise Creates sharing my projects for the new line of fabric “Pride and Prejudice”.

Pride and Prejudice is a lovely line of fabrics with a modern take on the early 1800’s style of print fabrics from that time. The colors are beautiful with shades of butter yellow, coral and blue and a smoky brown to ground it all.

This is the second of five lines of fabric inspired by the Jane Austen novels.

I decide to make my “Hexagon Circle Purse” which is perfect to “show off” the motifs from the adorable Pemberly House Print and the Sampler Print at the center of the purse.

The border is a lovely coral that complements the other prints beautifully.

Of course I had to make a coordinating zipper pouch! This zipper pouch uses 2″ finished squares which is perfect for fussy cutting favorite motifs from the prints. I added a patchwork handle in is a series of six prints.

It was so much fun working with “Pride and Prejudice”!

I love to see what everyone makes with the fabric line, so please tag you photos on social media with the hashtags #PrideandPrejudiceFabric #RileyBlakeDesigns #ILoveRileyBlake

Happy Sewing!
