It’s time for another sneak peek, and today we are thrilled to share a preview of Snowed In, the newest collection from Heather Peterson of Anka’s Treasures.
When asked about the inspiration behind the collection, Heather said, “I’m from Minnesota, where we have winter for about five months out of the year. As soon as he first snowflakes start to fly, I hang my collection of hand-cut paper snowflakes around the house. My love of snowflakes has led me to collect a few other complimentary decorations. I like to mix in pine boughs, red berries, snowmen, and trees — anything to make my home warm and cozy during the long winter. It’s easy to see that all of these things inspired the different prints in this fabric line. The combination is fresh, yet warm and inviting. I can’t wait to get ‘Snowed In’ this winter with a pile of this fabric and create quilts for my home with that same look and feel. Being Snowed In can be one of the best things — you can’t get out, so no going to work or activities. It’s the perfect time to quilt!”
Heather curated a cheery color palette of crisp blues, bright green and reds, cool gray, and black.
Take a closer look at the Main print with wintery motifs like deer, snowmen, snow-covered homes, and the cutest red pickup trucks laded with Christmas trees. The Main print will be available in Glacier (seen here), Gray, and Red.
Small Snowflakes is a beautiful print showcasing delicately patterned snowflakes of all shapes and sizes. These really do bring to mind the hand-cut paper snowflakes Heather mentioned earlier, don’t you think? Small Snowflakes will be available in Red (seen here), Glacier, and White.
We love this floral print with its festive poinsettias, pinecones, and sprigs of evergreens. Floral will be available in Black (seen here), Green, and Teal.
We just had to share a closeup of this fun Plaid print! Take a look at those brilliant colors! Wouldn’t this make a fun holiday dress or vest and tie? Plaid will be available in Black (seen here), Red, and Treetop.
The Snowed In collection also features this fun 24″ x WOF Let it Snow fabric panel. Add borders to this panel for a quick and easy make, or fussy cut the squares to create blocks for a quilt, pillow, table topper or other projects.
