Today is Traditional Block Thursday at Penny Rose and Bonnie is showing us how to make this fun Hourglass quilt block!
She teaches us a quarter square triangle technique here, so we get to take the half square triangle to the next level – yes, we’re walking on the wild side!
My points weren’t all perfectly lined up and I had to unpick one section when I forgot to flip the direction of a block, but this learning process is so much fun! You can find more of my TBT Modern blocks on the blog. It’s fun to see how these traditional blocks take on a very bold, modern look just by using solid color fabrics.
