The Emma collection features Emma Wiggles dancing the day away. You’ll also find a fun text print, and a tossed print highlighting adorable hearts, bouquets, ballet shoes, and more.
Lacie cut out stripes from the At the Barre print to use as the focal point of these placemats. She added our Kaleidoscope basics to each side — a small 1 1/2″ border on the bottom, and a larger section on the top.
Next, she created a little quilt sandwich (bottom fabric + batting + top fabric) and quilted in straight lines. How dense or spaced out your quilting is is completely up to you. Dense, close together quilting will give your placemat a more stiff, structured feel. Loose quilting will give you softer placemats with less structure.
Finally, Lacie trimmed the placemats to 12″ x 18″ and attached the binding. She used contrasting pink and yellow in the Kaleidoscope basics. So cute!
