Christmas Joys – Apricot Dress

Hey friends! Gail here from Boo and Lu Pattern Co. Today I am so excited to share with you my make using the new Christmas Joys collection by Lindsay Wilkes.

If you knew me in real life you would know that I LOVE Christmas. And you would also know that my love for Christmas runs so deep that I have a Christmas room. Yep. You’ve read that right. And nope, I’m not even exaggerating. Our dining room is decorated for Christmas year-round. I’m talking fully decorated tree, Christmas place settings, a fireplace with stockings hung from the mantel, and faux presents under the tree. It’s a whole big thing. Is that weird? Maybe. Do I care that you think I’m weird? Also maybe 😂

But, maybe you’ll forgive me for being so Christmas obsessed when you see my beautiful make using this equally beautiful fabric collection.

Drumroll, please….. Tah dah! Meet Apricot. My newest pattern, currently in its testing phase. And you all get an exclusive early sneak peek. You lucky ducks!

Apricot is a sweet summer dress featuring the cutest little statement pockets (perfect for holding lots of treasures. Or if you’re like my daughters… rocks. Lots and lots of rocks).

I used the adorable Holly print in pink (of course, because we LOVE pink!) and the Candy Canes in white and added a sweet little red bow to finish off the statement pockets.

Apricot features the cutest little collar inspired by retro soda shop dresses. And if you’ve seen me around, you know I adore anything retro/vintage.

Of course, I just had to use the Holly print in pink for the collar and it looks so beautiful when paired with the Christmas Joys Main print in sky blue!

Thank you so much to Riley Blake Designs for providing me with this fabric and for allowing me to share my makes here on their blog.
