Crushing on Blush Quilt with FREE Pattern!

We’re crushing on the new Blush fabric collection designed by My Mind’s Eye. The beautiful blush and navy prints are given a major punch of glam with the addition of rose gold sparkle!

When I saw this fabric line it was love at first sight, so I decided It needed to be made up into a fun heart quilt.

Fortunately, the lovely ladies at Simple Simon & Co have a FREE Heart Quilt Pattern on their blog!

Isn’t it gorgeous? This quilt is so easy and fun to make. It is made up of a few simple half square triangles, several 10” squares, a 5” border and binding. Easy!

I opted to quilt this with wavy horizontal lines. I will say that wavy lines are MUCH more forgiving than straight lines. The waves cover more surface area, so the quilting goes very fast, and it is much easier to avoid any puckering or pulling. For these reasons, quilting with wavy lines is great for beginners. It looks nice, too!

The binding is Riley Navy and the white background is Cloud – both are from Riley Blake’s CONFETTI COTTONS collection.

Take a look at these close ups. You can see how the rose gold has a truly dazzling sheen to it.

The deep navy and soft blush are a match made in heaven!

The majority of the quilt back is made up of these sweet rose gold KISSES, which coordinate with the Blush collection perfectly. I ran short on the quilt side and bottom, so pieced together large pieces of my Blush remnants to create the additional length and width I needed.
