Good Morning, Everyone! It’s Jessica Dayon here and today I’d like to share the Economy block quilt that I made using Easter Parade by The Cottage Mama. In case you don’t know me, you can find my blog at Jessica Dayon and you can follow me on Instagram @jessicadayon.
After a long winter, I get excited for spring. When I saw this beautiful Easter Parade collection, it made me long for the warm and bright days of spring. The colors and designs are beautiful. It makes me feel really nostalgic about Easter.
I paired with collection with some Riley Blake Basics (a mix of Texture, Blossom, Linen, Swiss Dot, Shabby, and Kisses) and I used them to make an economy block quilt. Economy blocks are very fun to make! I used the Economy Block tutorial by Amy Smart. I made the 12″ finished size but I used Amy’s tutorial to piece my 6″ middle as well.
I love how these prints mash up together in this bright, fun quilt. You can read all of the details of this quilt on my blog.
