Hey friends! Gail here from Sunflower Seams Pattern Company. Today I am so excited to share with you my adorable make using the new Malibu Barbie™ collection!
My girls are at the age where they are OBSESSED with Barbie™. Honestly, obsessed is even an understatement. They watch a Barbie movie at least twice a week. The Barbies even sit down at the table and do homeschool with us. So when I saw this collection, I knew I had to get my hands on it!
For this look, I really wanted to showcase multiple prints. I always love pattern mixing so you’ll almost always see me using a coordinate fabric. I chose to work with the Malibu Barbie™ Postcards in pink and the Malibu Barbie™ Stripes in rainbow.
Because of this, I chose to go with our Sunflower Seams Willow pattern. Willow has the option of including a double skirt which is perfect for showcasing the Malibu Barbie™ Stripes in rainbow. I love the pop of fun color it adds to this dress.
The weather hasn’t quite warmed up here yet but we are SO close to spring that I really wanted a dress that would last her through the coming warm weather. Willow is perfect because it is a pinafore style with the option of tied or button straps. The optional flutters are perfect for showcasing coordinating prints and adding a pop of color to your look.
Willow is available on the Sunflower Seams Pattern Company website in both baby and children’s sizing, as well as sold as a bundle.
