Misty Morning – Mini Fabric Bins For Spring

How about adding some beautiful spring feel to your home! Hi, I’m Damjana from AppleGreen Cottage and today I’d like to share a few mini fabric bins I’ve sewn with the latest Minki Kim’s collection, Misty Morning. How gorgeous are these florals!

Minki Kim’s Misty Morning collection has so many beautiful prints, large and small florals, strawberries, and beautiful blossoms. As usually with her fabric lines, it’s just impossible to just stick to one or two. You’ll want them all! I started with these delicate bouquets, perfect if you, too, would like to bring in spring into your home.

And about the mini fabric bins – these little cuties seem to be a multitasker in our home. Lovely decor and trinket storage, 2-in-1, and how effectively they can tame any mess in my drawers! Telling you, the fold-over top will make them fit anywhere. And I stopped losing my sewing clips 🙂

If you’re up for some spring organizing – or just want to make your sewing room look pretty! – this pattern bundle will be perfect for you:

The one with a pointed top is the KAIA mini bin pattern, and the two scalloped-top bins are made with my LEA bin pattern. They are so cute when made in sets. And amazing in large-scale prints, always!

And with the second, Lea pattern, there are two versions of the scalloped fold-over top. The deep scallops on the LEA are beautiful but better suitable for an intermediate than beginner sewer. And if you know me, I always love it when a project gets easier to sew – so I added the shallow scallops option to the pattern.

Shallower scallops are easier to sew but look just as cute as the deep ones.

And on a side note, I’ve found my new favorite point turning tool for sewing up these bunting-top bins. It’s the Flamingo Stiletto Turning Tool by Bev of the Flamingo Toes. Cuteness! And it makes turning the tiny scallops a breeze.

Now it’s your turn: which of the beautiful Misty Morning prints would you choose?
