Our trip half way around the world….

I have a few days to catch up…Jina and I made it to New Zealand and enjoyed a little time seeing this beautiful country. I had to include a photo of one of our stops….Hobbiton.

Are you a fan of The Hobbit or Lord of the Ring series? Then, this is a must do on your bucket list. I am a fan…and this far met my expectation. Look at this hobbit house…enchanting. There are over 40 unique homes and although they are just a facade they look like a hobbit could walk out that door at any moment.

After a little bit of sightseeing we visited Nutex, our Distributor in New Zealand. This Father and Son team does a great job for Riley Blake. Jay on the left and Gregg on the right…and they just happen to be enjoying our storyboards ;0)

We also enjoyed visiting one of the quilt shops in Auckland, Patchwork Passion. This is the shop owner, Robin. And she is holding a quilt made out of Lori Holts first fabric line Sew Cherry. We love seeing our fabric in use in NZ.

And then we were off to Cotton Carnivale in Australia….I am working on posting photos.

We helped Sue get ready for the event. She has so many fun things planned plus many beautiful things for the attendee’s to see made out of Riley Blake Fabrics.

Check out this softie made by an Aussie, Pauline and her pattern business is Funky Friends. This is just an example of one of the softies on display at Cotton Carnivale.

Now this is a Koala I could take home.

So…check back tomorrow….I am having trouble tonight posting pictures of our first day at Cotton Carnivale. We had a great time and kudos to Sue Daley for planning this fantastic event.
