Petals & Pedals – How to Adjust a Pattern for Smocking

Today’s stop on our Petals & Pedals Project Tour takes us to SEWING COTTON, where Amanda is sharing her version of the Camden Dress featuring fabric from the Petals & Pedals collection designed by Jill Finley.

Such a sweet, summer dress! Amanda used the Camden Dress Pattern by Jilly (pattern found HERE). We love the bright yellow Houndstooth bodice paired with the adorable yellow Bikes skirt. So fun!

Notice the sweet smocking detail on the skirt portion. The yellow thread echoes the sunny yellow bodice. LOVE this! Amanda is sharing a fabulous step-by-step tutorial showing exactly how to adapt a pattern for smocking. Hop on over to Amanda’s BLOG for photos and details, and be sure to follow her on Instagram @sewingcotton for more project ideas and inspiration.
