Sneak Peek! – Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood

We’re excited to share a sneak peek today of the brand new Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood collection coming to stores in October!

Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood was revolutionary in its use of television to acknowledge the feelings, challenges and curiosity of children through the on-screen interaction with a caring adult.

Each episode began with Mister Rogers welcoming the audience into his television house. While singing the show’s theme song, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor,” Mister Rogers always put on his trademark cardigan, changed into sneakers, and then introduced the day’s topic. Then, through Trolley visits to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, home of puppets like shy Daniel Striped Tiger, self-important King Friday, and treehouse neighbors Henrietta Pussycat and X the Owl, children enjoyed stories that supported the conversation that Mister Rogers introduced earlier in the show.

Mister Rogers always managed to find wonder in seemingly everyday things, turning visits to factories, farms and museums into engaging and educational journeys

To generations of viewers who grew up with the program, Mister Rogers remains a beloved figure. The show’s influence can be seen today in the award-winning PBS KIDS series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, which is produced by Fred Rogers Productions, and features animated characters based on those from the original Neighborhood of Make-Believe.

The Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Main print us full of fun snapshot featuring the beloved Mister Rogers and his equally well-loved trolley and puppet characters. The Main print will be available in Black background (seen here), Gray, and White.

The Sweater Stripe is a nod to the iconic sweater Mister Rogers always wore in his program. So fun! Sweater Stripe will be available in Gray (seen here), Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, and Turquoise.

We LOVE this fun Quotes print, filled with a sweet selection of quotes attributed to Mister Rogers. Quotes will be available in White (seen here), Green, and Yellow.

The highlight of the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood collection has to be this amazing 36″ x WOF fabric panel featuring Mister Rogers with his miniature imaginary neighborhood.

The fabric panel is the focal point of this fabulous 61″ x 68″ quilt, which has the panel bordered by homes of various shapes and sizes, along with heart-shaped blocks at each corner. LOVE this!

The quilt kit contains the pattern and fabric needed to make the quilt top and binding, and comes in this fun 9″ x 7″ x 6″ keepsake box. The quilt kit is expect to arrive in stores in November.

We love a free quilt pattern, and we are excited to be offering this fun and FREE pattern featuring the cheerful and inspiring fabrics from the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood collection. The free pattern will be available for download in the FREE PATTERNS section of our website.
