Strength in Pink – Tote Bag

Hello, friends! It’s Laura from Slice of Pi Quilts! I’m sharing a tote bag today that I made from the new Strength in Pink collection! The collection was designed to inspire hope for those with breast cancer.

I used the Strength in Pink fabric collection, which features various shades of pink with butterflies, flowers, and breast cancer ribbons, to make a tote bag with several pockets on the outside.

Two of my friends have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, so I have a new appreciation for celebrating their journeys with pink!

I used the Strength in Pink fabric collection, which features various shades of pink with butterflies, flowers, and breast cancer ribbons, to make a tote bag with several pockets on the outside.

I chose my go-to tote bag pattern, which uses fusible foam and four fabrics. It goes together really quickly! I even have a YouTube video that I made to show you how to do it!

This would be a wonderful tote for making for a friend going through cancer treatments. It’s a great size for carrying back and forth to doctor appointments and would hold a change of clothes or lap quilt and magazine.

The way the tote is constructed means that there are LOTS of pockets on the outside of the tote! Everything is better with pockets!

October is breast cancer awareness month, so now is a great time to sew with the Strength in Pink collection to honor and celebrate those you know on their own breast cancer journey! And if that’s you, hugs, my friend!
