Hello, friends! It’s Julia from Bayhill Studio. Today I have an easy Precut Friendly Lattice Quilt Tutorial to share with you featuring fabric from the beautiful The Beehive State collection by Shaeleen Louise.
I love quilting with precuts because they can be a huge timesaver, and because they are a cost effective way to try out all of the fabrics in a favorite collection.
The Beehive State, by Shaeleen Louise, features seagulls, sego lilies, beehives, bees, and charming ginghams in shades of black, butterscotch, beehive, and cloud.
I wanted a large throw quilt, which could double as a picnic/soccer game quilt. This one ended up measuring 66” x 66”; perfect for what I needed. You can always add more rows to make it larger, or take away rows for a smaller quilt. While I used 10” squares for my quilt, any size squares will work just fine.
I created a video tutorial showing exactly how I assembled this quilt. The process is very straight forward and beginner friendly.
You can find a list of fabric requirements for this throw size version of the lattice quilt on my BLOG. To make a quilt using different size squares, you’ll need to make adjustments for the sashing and borders.
The Beehive State, designed by Shaeleen Louise, is available now!
